IMPROVER + INTERMEDIATE
WORKSHOPS
Improver Pickleball Workshops
Train properly. Play better. Enjoy the game more.
Badfit has finally created what many players have been asking for:
structured workshops for the improver to intermediate pickleball player.
Like many, we start as beginners and quickly move into regular game play — club nights, social sessions, maybe even the odd tournament. What’s often missing is the chance to slow things down, properly learn, and practice shots, movement, and tactics in a coached environment.
First things first — what level are you?
The term intermediate gets thrown around a lot. Here’s how we define levels at Badfit.
- Beginner
If you:
-
Have never played, or only played a handful of games, maybe on holiday!
-
Are unsure on scoring or rules
👉 If this sounds like you. You’ll need to start with one of our Beginner Workshops.
Note: Regardless of experience in other racket sports, if you’re new to pickleball we ask that you attend a beginner workshop first.
- Improver
You’re likely an Improver if:
-
You’ve completed a beginner workshop
-
You understand the rules and scoring
-
You’ve covered the fundamentals
-
You may have started club play but feel behind on technique or consistency
Improver workshops are ideal if you want to:
-
Reinforce fundamentals
-
Improve timing and movement
-
Build confidence in rallies
-
Get up to speed with regular club players
- Intermediate
You’re likely Intermediate if:
-
You play weekly at a club
-
You may play or are starting to play tournaments
-
You can correctly demonstrate multiple shots (serve, dink, volley, groundstrokes)
If you’re still unsure which level suits you, please get in touch — we’re happy to advise.
- Not Suitable For Advanced Players
If you are:
-
Competing regularly at a strong club level
-
Highly consistent across all core shots
-
Confident in advanced spin, resets, and tactical play
-
Already drilling frequently at a high standard
These workshops may feel too foundational for you.

What Happens at an Improver–Intermediate Workshop?
These are 3-hour, fully on-court sessions designed to give you proper time to learn, practise and improve.
Across the session we aim to cover as much as possible, including:
-
Dinking fundamentals – control, height, placement and consistency
-
Volleys – technique, timing and confidence at the kitchen line
-
Topspin basics – when and how to use it effectively
-
Serving & return of serve – building reliability and purpose
-
Footwork & movement – positioning, balance and recovery
-
Transition play – moving confidently from baseline to kitchen
-
The 3rd shot drop – understanding the mechanics and when to use it
And more.
What You’ll Gain
-
Greater confidence at the kitchen line
-
Improved consistency under pressure
-
Better understanding of transition tactics
-
Clearer decision-making during rallies
-
Sharper movement and court awareness
The aim is simple:
Leave better than you arrived — more confident, more controlled, and more equipped for club play.
